Kisses & Kitty Sounds

Vivi recently started giving kisses on demand and making her first animal noise.  I was able to capture her first kisses to Daddy on video and the camera.  She is getting a little better about not opening her mouth quite so much : )

My First Christmas

Vivi had a wonderful first Christmas!  Pops & Nana visited for 10 days and we had so much fun.  We anticipated that Vivi might be a little overwhelmed with all of the gifts so we started letting her open 1 or 2 gifts per day leading up to Christmas.  She didn't quite know how to tear the paper so Mummy & Daddy opened most of the gifts while Vivi waited to grab them.  What a spoiled little girl!  She received so many wonderful gifts and is enjoying playing with them all.  Thank you everyone! Snow Day!!

We finally got a little snow in Farmington today!  We quickly bundled Vivi up and headed out before the sun came up and it all melted away.  She loved playing in the snow and making her first snow angel with help from Daddy!  She even surprised us by taking off walking in her snow suit.  We can't wait for the next snowfall!

Standing & Walking

Vivi is now able to take up to 18 steps and is very proud of herself.  She pushed herself off the ground to standing yesterday for the second time and will now let go from the couch and just start walking.  We are getting a workout!  Here are a few videos from when she first started pushing up rather than pulling up (Nov 9) and taking more than a few steps (Nov 25).  Unfortunately, we don't have any recent videos to share as we are always chasing after her!

I'm Going To Be A Big Sister!

We were thrilled to find out that we will be welcoming a baby brother or sister for Vivi sometime around July 8th!  After telling immediate family, Vivi broke the news by showing off her new "Big Sister" t-shirt.  I hope she's this excited when the baby arrives : )

Thanksgiving with Ringo

We celebrated Thanksgiving a week early when Ringo came to visit!  After picking her up from the airport in Durango, we drove to Telluride for the weekend.  We finally got some snow on the last night we were there.  Ringo cooked a wonderful Thanksgiving meal for us when we got back to Farmington.  We all loved the visit but especially Vivi who was spoiled rotten.  Ringo bought her a big stuffed dog which has been named Bingo.  Bingo is currently Vivi's favorite toy.

Auntie Jamie & Cousin Eli Came To Visit

We were so excited that Auntie Jamie and Cousin Eli came to visit!  It was wonderful for Vivi to meet them and to see the cousins play.  Sadly, we missed Uncle Brett but hope to see him soon.  Vivi was totally taken with Eli.  She watched his every move and wanted to climb on him!  Wherever he would walk, she would try to crawl after him.  Eli taught her how to pat and clap to Little Einsteins and also how to climb on her activity table : )  We bundled the kids up and drove to Durango one day.  Both kids took a nap on the ride home. We  look forward to the next time we can all get together.
