My First Road Trip

Our little family of 3 enjoyed our first road trip this weekend to Santa Fe, NM. Vivi travelled very well.  We went sightseeing most of the day on Saturday and had a wonderful dinner out.  Vivi slept during the entire meal and it was the first time in quite a while that I was able to enjoy dinner with two hands! On Sunday, we met our friend Georgina for breakfast.  She lives in Australia but was vacationing in New Mexico.

I Like To Jump

Our friends Tara & Willie bought Vivi a jumper.  She absolutely loves it and the toys on the tray.  I love it too as it gives me a few moments "hands free".

I Would Rather Be Naked On Easter

Although she's only 2.5 months old, every girl needs an Easter basket and an Easter dress.  Vivi was happy about the Easter basket but not crazy about the dress.  Her beautiful dress came from a friend in Qatar.  Vivi looked adorable but decided she would prefer to be in a diaper and didn't want to cooperate in a photo session.

I Got The Monkey!!

After just 2 months of having the activity mat, Vivi finally captured the monkey that had been taunting her : )  She was so proud of herself as you can see from the photos. This was the first time I heard her "squeal with delight!" What a wonderful sound.

Beth Comes To Farmington

One of my best girlfriends came to visit for a long weekend.  We were so happy to see her.  She had never met Mike and it had been a few years since I had seen her.  We had such a good time!  She spoiled us by cooking a fantastic meal and the next night, Mike made several Australian inspired dishes with matching wines.  Beth got to cuddle Vivi and Vivi loved her just as much as we do.  I can't wait to see her again in September for our girls road trip to Sedona, Arizona and the Grand Canyon!  Sadly missing from the trip was our friend Tara who got sick the night before she was to fly to see us.

Springtime is Near

Springtime is near and the weather is warming.  Vivi has enjoyed walks on the days that it hasn't been too cold or breezy.  It has now been two months with our little angel and I wish that time would quit moving so fast.  She is continuing to grow at a rapid rate and now weighs...and is .....long.  Mike had to go to Houston on a business trip for a few days this month so my Mom and Sister came to visit.  Vivi loved being rocked by her Auntie Casey.  Other highlights this month were getting in the big bath with Daddy and trying out her Bumbo chair.
